Affordable Dentures - Tampa Office screwed up my implants
Abutments on my lower denture were installed incorrectly
The abutments on my lower denture were installed incorrectly and resulted in 2 trips back to their office for repairs within the first 30 days. On the Sunday before Thanksgiving the abutment came out for the 3rd time. When I called on Monday morning I was informed that their office was closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday..??? Yes they were closed for the entire week for the holiday. I could not wait another week and go through Thanksgiving without having my lower denture. I called around and fortunately I was able to find another Affordable Dentures who would look at them and try to fix them.
I went to the St. Pete office and he told me that the type of abutments that they had used have a very small tolerance for error and because mine were not done properly they didn't line up quite right and that was the reason they kept falling out. He informed me that he used a different style of abutment and that I would have to pay for them and then ask for a refund from the Tampa office.
Keep in mind that when I originally had my lower dentures fitted the doctor put them and said "you're all set". I asked him when the implants are placed in the denture and he said "oh, you have implants?" Um, yes I have implants.. The point I'm trying to make is that they completed the denture prior to uncovering my implants. They took impressions without the implant being uncovered then they added the abutment to the denture after the fact.
Anyway, I feel as though I am entitled to a full refund of $395.00 because the Tampa office was not able to correct the issue after 2 follow up visits and the St. Pete office solved it on the first visit.
Reason of review: Warranty issue.
Monetary Loss: $395.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Affordable Dentures Cons: Unfulfilled promise, Loss of work.

Any patient who goes to a joint like Affordable Dentures to get something that requires as much precision as implants needs to visit a psychiatrist after the dentist. Let us see how long it takes those mini-implants to fall out of your jaw.
Clyde, you seem like a miserable person. Every time I look up a review of Affordable Dentures, you are at the keyboard ready to shame the customer.
I think you might want to resolve your own issues, speaking as someone with a degree in psychology. This is an obsession of yours and you keep posting like this, I will keep reporting.
Warn the customers (patients), not shame them. Eventually people will realize that it is a mistake to go to corporate outfits.
Ever think that someone has to pay for all the advertising they place over the airwaves? It is the patient-victims.
Letting a revolving door of dentists coming and going do a complicated thing like implants is a prescription for disaster. Any sane patient would want the dentist who places the implants to be there to maintain them 3 to 5 years down the road.
